Driving... Never ends.

All my life I have had someone to drive me where I need to go. That sounds pathetic since I have had my license for six years now. My parents drove me when I was little and then my brothers always argued about who was driving when they got their license so I just let them. When I was in college, I didn't have a car so I always rode home with my friends. Then I married Seth and he used to enjoy driving before he became a truck driver. When we moved to Casper I had to drive here by myself. That was a three hour drive, the longest I had ever driven. Now I can make that drive a lot easier because we have done it so much.

Yesterday I had the opportunity to serve the youth and take them to the Trek this week. We left Newcastle at seven in the morning and we made it to the campsite around 2. We took a few breaks which helped but it was about a five hour drive to where we needed to be. After I dropped them off, I drove another two hours back to Casper. I was so relieved to be home and relieved that Seth was only an hour and a half away as well. I got to the apartment and unpacked when Seth called. He had a heavy load on the trailer and the tire had popped off the back axle driving down the highway. I left the apartment around 5 and drove to where he was to make sure he was ok. When we had everything loaded up and ready to go I drove back to Casper and was home around 11.

I can definitely say that yesterday was a challenge for me. Not only because of the driving but getting a call from Seth like I did made me nervous. I am sure not the right person to be a trucker's wife! This is hard for me.

Anyways, I get to work tonight and tomorrow night. Hopefully that will keep my mind off the fact that Seth will be away from me, if he can get the trailer fixed today. We got to spend all of last week in Newcastle. Though Seth was not driving, we still drove so much while we were home. We had to go to Rapid twice with a stop to Lead both times. That was about a four hour drive each day. The other days we just went to the ranch which is still a two hour drive total. We are both so sick of being in vehicles!!

Hopefully this week will be better. If he gets the trailer fixed today and he gets a run, we should be home by Friday. *Fingers Crossed* I can't wait to get home and I just got here! I guess we will just have to wait and see what happens.
